What are your interests?
I am most interested in learning and listening. I used to watch a lot of movies to feed this interest, but as I no longer have much time for myself, this has evolved into listening to my students. I have Aphantasia, which affects the memory of the five senses, making me all the more excited to meet other people and hear about their experiences.

How long are you teaching (Business) English?
I have been teaching Business English for over 4 years. My students are mostly from other Asian countries such as Japan, China, Korea, and Taiwan. In my experience, each student has different motivators depending on the pressures they face to express themselves in English for work. In these cases, our lessons often shift from Business English to Travel English or Conversational English. I always strive to adapt to my students’ needs.

How many clients have you taught so far?
In my career, I’ve had over 40 regular clients. I don’t have an estimated total number of clients I’ve coached through booking systems. Here at BGEN, I look forward to assisting as many clients as I can in their language journey.

From which industries have your clients been? 
My clients have come from various industries such as Automobile, IT, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Medicine. It can get confusing at times, but I genuinely enjoy hearing about their experiences and learning about different company cultures.

Why do you love helping people to improve their English? 
To be honest, I once thought about quitting as an English coach and finding a “non-voice” job. Eventually, I realized I wouldn’t be happy with that because, as much as I’m naturally an introvert, I love helping others and being appreciated for it. Plus, I enjoy the perks of listening to my students’ experiences and learning about their cultures and perspectives.
